YOUR NEW ROLE

In this position, you will be a member of the TD&O, which includes transport network optimization (TNO), TMS key users and supplier management functions with the responsibility for design, implement, optimize, and secure quality of the transport network for transport material, transport product and manage packaging.  

Your most important assignment in this role is to master data update, data update and data analytics.  You are also responsible for preparing Volvo Packaging orders, PO, SO and invoice generation. You will be proactively working to improve supplier performance on packaging order. You also need to bring value to operation thru data analytics, visualization, and automation.  

You will work in a global supply chain context that provides an interesting diversity both in people and responsibility areas. You will work together with colleagues within TD&O TO INTER but to a great extent also with colleagues in other parts of Production Logistics, in other regions and in development functions. In your role you perform and deliver activities to EMEA region Manage Packaging Operations.   Your main interface will be towards Transport Operations, Manage Packaging, Material suppliers and Volvo plants.

The Transport Design and Optimization (TD&O) is part of the Transport Operations International (TO INTER) team. TO INTER is together responsible for driving Production Logistics operations with competitive flexibility, delivery precision, sustainability, and cost. We are responsible for transporting material from supplier to plant, managing and distributing packaging material and delivering Volvo products to the final market. Delivery precision is necessary for us to support Volvo operation and we deliver that with high-cost focus and environmental awareness.

Responsiblities

• Planning and Distribution of Packaging Orders in SAP and EBD 
• Create new packaging orders based on global planning and forecasting 
• Purchase order and Sales order creation 
• Prepare workflow Invoices 
• Validate extra cost charged 
• Validate and secure missing goods receipt 
• Proactive work with material suppliers to improve erratic order behavior 
• Proactively work to avoid incorrect and missing orders 
• Analyse orders and distribution data to improve supplier order accuracy 
• Prepare analytical tools, dashboard to bring operational excellence and efficiency 
• Solve business problems thru data analytics
