The Role:
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities by prospecting, qualifying, and booking meetings with potential customers. You will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to build a pipeline and identify high-quality leads. This is a great role for someone who is motivated, results-driven, and excited about starting a career in sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Research and identify potential leads through various channels such as cold calls, emails, social media, and networking.
- Prospecting: Initiate conversations with decision-makers in target companies to understand their business needs.
- Qualifying Leads: Assess the potential of leads by asking the right questions to determine if they are a good fit for the company’s product or service.
- Outreach: Create and send personalized emails, make cold calls, and engage with prospects through social media to initiate interest in the product or service.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain a healthy sales pipeline by tracking progress and managing data using a CRM system.
- Collaboration with Sales Team: Work closely with Account Executives and sales managers to ensure a smooth handoff of qualified leads.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends and the competitive landscape to better tailor outreach efforts.
- Reporting: Track and report on key metrics such as number of calls, emails sent, meetings booked, and leads qualified.
- Continuous Improvement: Attend regular training sessions, provide feedback on sales processes, and continuously improve prospecting skills.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- 1+ years experience as an SDR. Experience in the Payroll/SAAS industry would be an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage prospects.
- Familiarity with CRM system email automation tools and sales prospecting software is a plus.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
